The namesake for the park is the legend of the origin of these stones, which are extremely rare outside of this park and some place in France (if memory serves). The stone itself looks like a little naturally occurring cross. The legend is basically: When the fairies heard about Jesus' being crucified, they cried. These stones are the tears.
